The Rocket Retainer is made from a patent pending
polyolefin elastomer called Vistamaxx™.
The Rocket Retainer is preformed by injection molding and
can be fitted at chair side using a microwave. It does not
need an impression or digital scan. The heated materiel is
soft and has a slow rate of crystallization at room
temperature. This allows the material to flow
comform/adapt to every contour of the gums and dentition.
It is comfortable, aesthetic, and easy to wear with no
impairment of speech or breathing for full patient
compliance.
The Rocket Retainer offers unique balance of elasticity,
softness, toughness, flexibility and durability.
The Pending Patent:
The self-customizable orthodontic retainer of the present
invention can be easily molded by the user of the
orthodontic retainer. The self-customizable orthodontic
retainer has the advantages of (a) giving the user ample
time, for example, 2 to 3 minutes, to properly fit the
orthodontic retainer at a workable temperature below 60°
C., during which the material must remain soft and
elastic/extensible to conform the contour of the mouth,
teeth and spaces between the teeth; (b) providing shrink
without any distortion or deformation once the retainer is
comfortably in place; and (c) possessing a good balance of
hardness, stiffness, and soft feel.
Vistamaxx™ has unique properties that allow it to
duplicate a custom-fabricated retainer. After being
heated, the material crystallizes slowly at room
temperature and can conform/adapt to every contour of the
gums and dentition.
These properties make it the ideal material for an
Orthodontic retainer do to its ability to shrink in the
mouth while cooling and give a custom-fit providing the
necessary resistance to maintain dental alignment and
potential relapse after braces or clear aligners are
removed.

Rocket Retainer retainers are made from a patent pending
durable, thermoplastic material called Vistamaxx™ that's
resistant to staining, distortion, deformation, tearing,
smelling and cracking, It has a range of properties,
including flexibility, elasticity and clarity. Vistamaxx™
has a hydrophobic, non-porous chemically inert surface
that minimizes bacterial adhesion and growth.
